A New Age Dawns!
A New Year,& it's suggested,a new Decade as well!! The first month of which see's us expecting a litter very soon from Summer & sired by the stunning Tuscamada Black Knight,if her last litter is anything to go by,you can expect these guys will be making their presence felt for a long time to come!! Beltamo Kennels is also considering bringing in the new era with a makeover of it's own by adding the prefix "Cheveyo" to our kennels specifically for our future Samoyed litters,Beltamo originally being registered with Belgian Shepherd's in mind, stay tuned for more updates about this new & exciting direction for our kennels :)

Snow Babies!
On the fifth of this month,Shakira gave us 3 new snow babies, all girls, sired by the gorgeous Kyandi Mav n Brodie!! The new Mom & all 3 daughters are doing well & are alot of fun but exasperating at times to be around :) We hope these 3 girls will follow in their Mother & famous Grand-Mother's "paw steps" by being a strong presence in the best possible ways both in the show ring & out! And, that at least two of them, will make some puppy "parents" very happy for alot of years to come!!

We're Back!
After a rather lengthy break from showing & alot of other things due to family matters we're finally back on track, although we expect there to be another short break between now & the New Year,we apologize for our absence from & neglect of these pages! Due to all this,we only took a small contingent of dogs to Adelaide Royal this year, but those we did take peformed pretty well considering their lack of warm up shows, with Natuk winning his class,Heaven & Manny coming second in their respective classes & Shakira putting in a strong peformance to come first in her class & be considered for reserve challenge bitch while looking far from her best!Next year will see us fielding a rather young & inexperienced show team but the year after they'll hopefully start coming into their own!!

In the Red? ANKC regulations now only allow the Tervueren colors of Fawn & Grey to be placed on the Main Register, with the color red now being restricted to the Limit Register. This latest development will make the definition of "fawn", the widespread aversion to "grays" & the question of what to do with any future puppies, that could only be called "red", very interesting indeed!
October 10th,2008 Beltamo Walkn In Memphis makes his return to South Australia. Quite late this night,on an almost deserted stretch of road in rural S.A, Memphis was reunited with his breeders & littermates at Beltamo Kennels, where he has settled back in perfectly well & will commence his S.A. show campaign sometime in the new year!
September 12th,2008 A Royal Showing for BeltamoKennels?
Beltamo Kennels once again were found to be competitive at this year's Adelaide Royal Show
with Heaven starring with the Challenge Bitch Award in the Groenendael's,while her brother, Manny took out Reserve Challenge Dog & runner up to Best of Breed. The Tervueren's also performed quite strongly, with Logan taking out Reserve Challenge Dog fromthe Junior class & Miss Kalamitywinning Puppy of Breed! The Shakira, our lone Samoyed representative for this year came second in Intermediate Bitch class while drastically out of coat! But, alas, there is always next year, where Beltamo Kennels hopes to make a bigger showing of it with some more mature dogs & a few,new rising stars!
July 17th,2008 We become proud "GrandParents" for the 2nd time!
For the second time this year, Beltamo Kennels have become "Grand Parents",this time to the
long awaited Summer/Zeus litter where Tervueren's were well & truly on the wishlist! Summer obliged her "humans" to a degree giving birth to 5 Groenendael girls, 3 Groenendael boys,& 1 loneTervueren,a grey boy. Natuk may have been the onlyTervueren wish granted this litterBut he has far surpassed even our wildest expectations & is by far, "pick of the litter" Thank you Summer! June 23rd,2008 "Hips Don't Lie" Shakira,Shakira!
At the recent Samoyed Championship show held at SACA park, hosted by the Samoyed Club of S.A,Shakira proved once again that soundness, type & movement are often "everything" by taking out Reserve Challenge Bitch against tough, adult competition from Junior class,& going on to win Best Junior in Show & Best Gait in show under renowned international Samoyed judge & veteran breeder,Mr.John Studebaker(U.S.A.),emulating her Mother's almost mirror-like win in the Samoyed Championship show of 2002 under another respected International Judge!
April 7th,2008 "A Star (or two) is Born"
Diamond (Ch.Beltamo Warrior Princess E.T.)produced her first litter, the proud Mother is in good spirits & has done very well, all 8 pups 2 boys & 5 girls are happy healthy bundles of fluff.Dad is the stunning Patrick (Ch. Beljekali Evening Star C.D. E.T) Never were two canines more in love than this pair, & their union has given us 2 wonderful new additions to our show team in PJ (Beltamo Shooting Star)& his sister,Starr (Beltamo Star Struck)!
Easter,2008 "The Wild comes West"!!
Easter saw Miss. Tarraray Kalamity Jane join Beltamo Kennel's show team, living up to her name by causing a calamity almost wherever she goes, her plane touched down just in time to head South East to Mount Gambier for the Easter Show circuit where the entire team performed quite well, relaxing at the end of a long, tiring show day in the beautiful surrounds of the Willow Vale Camping Park where we're always made to feel very welcome!Much Appreciation to Lynece & Ernie who run this wonderful home away from home!
